John is a Partner on the Investment Team and is responsible for leading new investments and portfolio company value creation.
John Cordo joined Evolution in 2024, bringing more than a decade of experience as a cybersecurity investor in both venture capital and growth equity. He currently serves as an Evolution Board Member to Arize AI and Observer to Halcyon and Torq. Other notable Evolution investments include Armis (acquired by ServiceNow), Cyera, GetReal, Island, Legora, and Silverfort.
John started his investing career at Blackstone, where he invested from the Blackstone Innovations venture capital portfolio in early-stage cybersecurity companies. Most recently, John specialized in cybersecurity investing for growth equity firm Brighton Park Capital. Notable cybersecurity investments over John’s career include Immuta, HUMAN, BigID, CloudGenix (acquired by Palo Alto Networks), CloudKnox (acquired by Microsoft), and Respond Software (acquired by FireEye).
John graduated magna cum laude with a BS in Finance, Accounting, and Economics from the Carroll School of Management Honors Program at Boston College.
